FROM THE NORTH: Take the A55 towards Llandudno. At Llandudno take the A470 junction south towards Betws y Coed. Just outside Betws y Coes where the A470 joins the A5, turn left (away from Betws y Coed), then almost immediately turn right, past the Ty Gwyn pub, towards Blaenau Ffestiniog. As the enter Blaenau Ffestiniog, take the A496 towards Porthmadog. Eventually, when you've descended the hill and the road starts to level out carry on to a sharp junction - turn right & continue to the end of this road, where it joins the A487 - turn right. Almost immediately you'll pass signs to Maentwrog & Harlech on your left - stay on the main road as it sweeps round to the right. As you cross the river & the road starts to bend left - start indicating RIGHT & begin to slow down, and take the narrow lane on the bend on your right. (If you pass the Oakeley Arms - you've gone too far!) Go down this lane for quarter of a mile, and just past the farm on your right the road will widen into a passing place & there is a blue metal gate on the left marked 'BRON TURNOR MAWR'. Go through this gate, and go round to the left of the main house to The Coach House.
FROM THE SOUTH: From M6 take junction 10A onto M54. The M54 eventually becomes the A5 - follow signs for Llangollen(A5). Stay on the A5 through Llangollen, then after Corwen follow the signs for Bala(A494). As you enter Bala, turn right following the signs for Porthmadog(A4212). At the A470 junction, turn right following the signs for Porthmadog (A470 becomes A487). You'll pass through Gelliydan, where the road descends to the valley floor, where you'll pass signs to Maentwrog & Harlech on your left - stay on the main road as it sweeps round to the right. As you cross the river & the road starts to bend left - start indicating RIGHT & begin to slow down, and take the narrow lane on the bend on your right. (If you pass the Oakeley Arms - you've gone too far!)
